Where can I learn more about stem cells?
Scientists and researchers began studying stem cells in the 60’s.
To find out more, you’ll want to do a Google Scholar or PubMed search on “stem cells” specifically.
You can find the most noteworthy stem-cell studies in this Wikipedia resource - if you scroll all the way down, you’ll see the list of studies in the "references" section.
These are other places where you can look for additional information:
- What are stem cells? (includes a 7-minute video)
- Induced pluripotent stem cell
Using your course learnings as the basis to carry out your own independent research is a always good idea. Our most successful students are those who continue researching the topics that interest them most, so go for it - and have fun in the process!
